Sing for the King!

30th June 2015

Our KS2 children were very thrilled to take part in the rehearsals ready for the afternoon premiere production of The King in the Car Park at Leicester Cathedral on Tuesday 30th June.  The singers were also recruited from other schools near Loughborough; Ullesthorpe Primary; Sharnford Primary; Sapcote All Saints; Weavers Close Primary, Earl Shilton; Church Hill, Thurmaston, and Whetstone St Peter's Primary School.

The youngsters were joined for their performance of The King in the Car Park by Leicester Cathedral choristers, Loughborough Children's Choir, a countertenor soloist and musicians.

This choral piece tells the story of Richard III's discovery in Leicester and has been composed by Benjamin Vaughan and Philip Goss.

We were very proud of all of our children.
